Frequently Asked Questions About Our Practice

  • What is ALS's hourly fee?

For most criminal matters in CT, we charge depending on the nature of the criminal matter. Such variables include, but are not limited to: degree of criminal charges (felony vs. misdemeanor), if there are prior convictions or probation involved, the number of offenses charged in the same incident, etc.

  • I’m a veteran. Why is the price different for me than other people?

First, at Affordable Legal Services, LLC, we have a great respect for veterans and Attorney Lawrence has a history of successfully representing them in the CT courts. We work closely with representatives of the Veterans Administration and the courts to help provide you with a complete defense strategy for your case. There are also exceptions for veterans built into the criminal statutes of the State of CT. As such, we offer a 10% discount on all criminal matters for veterans. (We are not officially associated with any government agency, military or otherwise, or any non-profit.)

  • What about medical expenses?

The goal of all personal injury litigation is to get you back to being healthy and happy, and to make the responsible party pay for your expenses. We also have arrangements with some medical providers and can work with them to reduce medical bills.

  • If I’m seriously injured, can an attorney make a home visit or visit me in the hospital?

In CT, we guarantee that home visits or hospital visits can be arranged. For cases, outside of CT, please inquire.

  • What if I’m responsible for injuring someone else?

In this instance, your insurance carrier will likely provide you with an attorney. If you do not have insurance, please give us a call or email us with details of your case.
